CW 42 Weekly Track Titan Update

Let's start the weekly update with another big number: 100,135. If you read last week's update, you'll remember that we had a new record day with more than 90,000 laps driven in a single day on TT for the first time. Guess what, you demolished that record within a week and we crossed the 100k mark for the first time! We work our asses off week in, week out to collect these laps, stream them to the cloud and derive insights on how to go faster but the main contributors here are you and the other more than 110k Track Titan community members.

Calendar Week 42 Update:

Track Titan "Drive to Win" is now available for some users

We are excited to be able to finally announce one of our previously mentioned secret projects: Drive to Win. Whilst it is invite only at the moment, Drive to Win is the culmination of a lot of work over months. You are now able to turn your driving activity into rewards in what is - as far as we know - a first in the simracing world. Sure, every now and then big competitions allow a handful of people to get big prizes but what about the majority of drivers that make the simracing community what it is today?

Drive to Win enables you to get points for achieving certain targets. You can then turn these points into free setups, memberships, and more. Watch this space; Drive to Win will soon be available to everyone and it's going to be big.

Video track guides
We're back to posting more than 200 guides a week again. We fixed some issues around our AC guides which means you'll now start seeing more of them as they will try to gradually catch up with all the ACC and iRacing ones out there already. The numbers should increase quite a bit next week as we are launching beginner guides - slightly slower lap times but with clean and more attainable driving.

New quick tips to optimise how much you turn in

‍We are working on the core of Track Titan - good driving insights - every day and I wanted to take the chance to call out one new really useful one no matter how fast you are: Finding the right steering angle. Turning in too much is an extremely common mistake. You seem to not make the corner so surely turning in more should fix that? Wrong. It actually makes things worse as you rob the tyres of the little grip they have left anyway. This causes a vicious cycle of more understeer, meaning the tyres overheat, causing even more understeer.

Instead, you should reduce your steering angle for improved cornering speeds. You can see an example of this tip on Track Titan below.
