Weekly Track Titan Update

CW 52 Track Titan Update

And just like that, another year is gone. This final update of the year is less about the last few days but instead a bigger recap and celebration of the year. 2024 was - once again - by far the biggest year for Track Titan in terms of new users joining, driving activity and the levels of improvement we see for all of you.

We also have our Christmas social and end-of-year workshop so let's get into the final update of the year with a mix of serious celebration and less serious behind-the-scenes footage of how we ended the year.

Celebrating our hardcore users

Grown to more than 120,000 Track Titan community members

Total laps driven: 18,345,703

User with most laps driven (31,148 laps): Vladimir Rudometkin

User with most Drive to Win points won (2,210): Mantukas

User with most sessions analysed (684): Dennis Bosman

Pretty big numbers and at the current rate of growth, these will get demolished again in 2025. Thanks all for being part of our journey to making simracing more accessible. 18 million laps is crazy, also for our AWS bill but your positive feedback makes it all worth it. Can't wait to show you what we've got in stock for you in 2025 ❤️.

End-of-year workshop and Christmas social

As mentioned before, we get together for a structured team workshop and social once a quarter. Of course, we discuss goals and strategy many times in between but these quarterly sessions are to properly take a step back, discuss learnings and plan for the quarter ahead. Besides, they're a great reason to get the whole (or most of the) team together in person and live the British dream by going to the pub before engaging in some sort of laughable activity like bingo together.

Unfortunately, not all of us could make it due to personal reasons like travel issues or even having a baby but here's a pic of us at our favourite (or not so favourite for some) pub right opposite our office.

Bingo was not just mentioned as a stupid example, we actually did it this year. No, this is not the kind of bingo your grandma might go to but essentially a mix of rogue commentary by what seems to be a former used car salesman and alcohol-affected employees of all sorts of companies across all age groups. What's not to love, eh?

Competitive as we are, we deeply analysed the complicated maths behind the perfect game of bingo and purely due to this advanced analysis, two of us actually managed to win. Below is Full-Stack Engineer Charlie (who built many important things you love such as personalised achievements and the advanced layout) celebrating his win. We hope it gives you an idea of the vibe.

Video track guides now easier to view when analysing a session

It was great to get everyone's feedback regarding track guides now being accessible directly via your latest session. As some of you mentioned, watching the video on a bigger scale was tricky on some screens so we have now built a pop-up for track guides so they instantly get shown as in the example below.

Video track guides

We had some technical issues and with most ofthe team off over Christmas, it took a while to fix them. That had a negative impact on track guides as you can see in the numbers below but things are now back to normal.

  • Total track guides posted on YouTube as of yesterday: 3,861
  • Total new guides posted last week: 87
